Curtis is originally from Dallas, TX, and has worked in higher education for the past eight years. As a queer, first-generation college graduate, he is deeply passionate about helping college students realize their potential and achieve their goals. Curtis earned a Bachelor's degree in Drawing and Painting from the University of North Texas in 2017, followed by a Master's degree in Higher Education from the same institution in 2019. After relocating to Chicago, he worked at Loyola University Chicago's Stritch School of Medicine for two and a half years before joining UIC in January 2022. In his free time, Curtis enjoys creating art and staying active. He can often be found biking around the city, listening to podcasts, and exploring new dining spots.
