Financial Aid & Scholarships
As a Research I university—a Carnegie classification signifying a deeply rooted research mission and commitment—UIC students receive a high-quality, research-rich education at a remarkable value when compared with other institutions. Our locked-in 4-year tuition rate, wide range of potential scholarships, and financial aid packages help make both UIC and LAS a viable choice for post-secondary study.
LAS students receive an excellent education and are supported throughout the financial aid process to make their college dream an affordable reality. We are committed to guiding students to the financial resources and services necessary to put their educational goals within reach.
Take the First Step:
Applying early for financial assistance is the key to unlocking the resources you may need, as some aid operates on a first come, first served basis. Begin by completing your Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) and contacting the Financial Aid Office for assistance. The UIC FAFSA school code is 001776.
Both UIC and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences offer numerous scholarship opportunities for prospective and current students.
Incoming students are reviewed at time of admission for UIC’s selective scholarship programs, including Chancellor’s Fellows, Provost’s Fellows, and the President’s Award Program.
