First-Year Seminar
LAS 110: Experience UIC Heading link
LAS 110 is designed for first-year LAS students to identify and utilize UIC programs to support academic success; explore strengths and values; practice professional communication and build a sense of belonging and create a support network; and learn the value of a liberal arts and sciences education. With an emphasis on small class discussions, the purpose of the seminar is to allow students to collaborate with their classmates to learn how to be successful first-year UIC students.
