About
Jonathan Cecero is the Director of Marketing and Communications for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). In this role, he oversees strategic marketing initiatives, brand management, and communication strategies to enhance the college's visibility and engagement with diverse audiences. With nearly 15 years of experience shaping communication strategies in higher education and a strong background in marketing, Jon plays a pivotal role in promoting the college’s mission and programs.
Jon lives in Oak Park, IL, and holds a master's degree in communication from DePaul University and a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Outside of work, he enjoys gardening with his wife, Monica, and playing with his two kids, Cornelia and Luca. He can be reached at jcecero@uic.edu.
