About

Nathan serves as Program Coordinator, Advising Operations within the Advising Center of LAS Student Academic Affairs, and has been at UIC since June 2019. In fall semesters, he serves as a Course Instructor for LAS 110: Experience UIC; a first-year seminar course. He started his UIC journey as an LAS General Advisor before being promoted to Senior Advisor in fall 2022; prior to moving into the Program Coordinator role in fall 2024. Nathan has earned his Master of Science in College Counseling & Student Development at St. Cloud State University (Minnesota), and his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (minor: Family Studies) at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Nathan's special areas of interest are: college student mental health, counseling, professional development, advising administration, advisor wellness, advising assessment, and analyzing processes. He is a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community and is happily partnered. In his spare time, Nathan loves to travel, binge-watch Bravo shows, bike, sing, game, and attend live concerts and musical theatre.
