UIC professors get funding to research abortion access
Congratulations to Claire Laurier Decoteau of Sociology and Kim Ricardo from UIC Law for receiving a grant from the Society of Family Planning to fund their interdisciplinary project, “Abortion on the move: Navigating the fractured reproductive healthcare landscape.” Their research aims to address the barriers faced by pregnant women, especially low-income women of color, in seeking abortions across state lines.
