The Reality of Challenges for Black Business Owners in Chicago
In a recent Crain's Chicago Business’s article, Amanda Lewis of Sociology co-wrote an insightful piece on how the decline of Chicago’s Black population is impacting the city’s economy.
"Things have changed considerably since Chicago’s heyday. In every decade since 1980, the city’s Black population has declined, resulting in a total loss of nearly 400,000 Black residents by 2020, or 34% of the city’s Black population."
