Teaching of History AD Julie Peters Interviewed on State Teacher Licensing by WBEZ
Julie Peters, associate director of the Teaching of History program at UIC and clinical associate professor of history, is interviewed in a WBEZ story on proposed state legislation that would alter the state’s teacher licensing process, such as removing the requirement that student teachers have to videotape themselves in the classroom. Peters tells WBEZ that the evaluators lack full context by not being in the actual classroom and candidates videotaping themselves doesn’t correlate with teaching skills. http://bit.ly/2wpWFkt
