Robert Johnston wins grant for NEH Summer Institute

Congratulations to Robert Johnston of History for winning a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) for a Summer Institute for K-12 educators entitled “Rethinking the Gilded Age and Progressive Era,” The proposal was a joint Chicago-area proposal sponsored by the Chicago History Museum, with Robert serving as Academic Director. The three-week institute will bring 25-30 K-12 teachers to Chicago to explore a wide variety of topics and perspectives related to the Gilded Age and the Progressive Era.

This will be the seventh year Robert has helped run the seminar, going back to 2013.
