Linguistics Lecturer Jill Hallett presents research on community literacy at annual Linguistic Landscape Workshop at University of Hamburg
The annual Linguistic Landscape Workshop at the University of Hamburg is the leading international meeting for interdisciplinary research on language in public space. Visiting Lecturer in Linguistics, Jill Hallett, presented her research project, "Language Policy in Practice with the Community Literacy Landscape." Her work is part of an on-going project focusing on how the literacy landscape reflects the home languages of students and families in one linguistically-diverse community in Chicago.
