LALS Professor Maria de los Angeles Torres Authors Article for Zocalo Public Square
In a column appearing in the online publication Zocalo Public Square, Maria de los Angeles Torres, UIC professor of Latin American and Latino studies and executive director of the Inter-University Program on Latino Research, writes about the recent cases of unaccompanied minors crossing the U.S. border and her own experience as one of over 14,000 Cuban minors sent to the U.S. in "Operation Pedro Pan" in the early 1960′s.
