English Professor and Alumni Praised in Newcity ‘s “Lit 50” List for Noticeable Authors
The 2020 edition of Newcity’s “Lit 50” features the following Chicago writers with UIC affiliations:
Luis Alberto Urrea, professor of English and LAS distinguished professor, and Gina Frangello, a Ph.D. student in the Program for Writers and 1997 master’s degree recipient from the Program for Writers, are listed in the publication’s Hall of Fame, which includes writers who’ve made the “Lit 50” list so many times that their presence is assumed.
