English Faculty Members to Speak at UIC Poetry Festival in September
Two LAS faculty members from the English department will be reading from their respective work at the 2014 UIC Poetry Festival later this month. Christina Pugh, associate professor of English, and Roger Reeves, assistant professor of English, will be among the poets in attendance. Cristina Correa, winner of the 2013 Midwestern Voices and Visions Award, and Ladan Osman, winner of the 2014 Sillerman First Book Prize for African Poets, will also be reading at the event.
Hosted as part of the Chancellor’s Lecture and Event Series, the event will take place Tuesday, September 23 from 3:00—5:00 p.m., at the SCE East Terrace. To RSVP for the event, please email nbrown34@uic.edu.
