Criminology, Law, and Justice Faculty Liat Ben-Moshe Selected as the 2020 C. Wright Mills Award Finalist for Their Book “Decarcerating Disability: Deinstitutionalization and Prison Abolition”
Dr. Liat Ben-Moshe, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, was selected as a finalist for the 2020 C. Wright Mills Award for their book, Decarcerating Disability: Deinstitutionalization and Prison Abolition. This award, selected by a committee of nine sociologists representing a wide range of specialties from across the discipline, is one of the most prestigious, coveted, and
competitive awards given in the social sciences. Dr. Ben-Moshe’s achievement will be recognized at the Virtual Awards Ceremony on Thursday, August 5 and on the Society’s website. Read more here.
