Dick Simpson, UIC professor of political science, is quoted in a Crain’s Chicago Business column that compares the governing styles of Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot during the COVID-19 pandemic. Simpson notes it’s a difference in temperament and that “Mayor Lightfoot is used to being more adversarial, given her life as a litigant and lawyer.
