Associate Professor Jennifer Brier’s Research Quoted on Chicago Magazine

Jennifer Brier, UIC director of Gender and Women’s Studies and associate professor of Gender and Women’s Studies and history, is quoted in an article appearing in the March 2018 issue of Chicago magazine that examines the secret life and death of Nicolai De Raylan, a Russian immigrant who was found to be a woman upon death in 1906.  Brier’s research helps detail some of De Raylan’s life story in the article, which includes a piece of content from Brier’s 2012 co-edited book “Out in Chicago: LGBT History at the Crossroads.” http://chi.mg/2Fs8AEp
