Minors

Enhance Your Knowledge
While majors provide in-depth knowledge and sophistication in a defined field of study, minors offer students a chance to use available electives to satisfy personal intellectual curiosities in supplemental areas. A liberal arts minor is a great way to gain skills related to a chosen career. Minors, which are roughly half the credit hours of a major, are not required for graduation. However, many LAS students elect one in order to enhance their educational experience.
The following is a list of minors offered directly through the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. For a complete list of all minor options offered at UIC, visit the Degree Program and Minor List in the UIC Undergraduate Catalog and consult with the College offering the minor for the most accurate information.
