Haider Named Chair of Physics Department
Professor Quamrul Haider, an LAS alumnus who earned his Master's Degree from the Department of Physics at UIC, was named Chair of the Department of Physics at Fordham University. In addition to this distinguished appointment, Haider and a colleague were recently able to confirm the existence of the eta-mesic nucleus, a form of nuclear matter previously theorized but unconfirmed.
