Chicago Tonight, WTTW’s nightly local news program, interviewed Professor Dirk Morr of the Department of Physics, regarding his recent Chicago Council on Science and Technology lecture at UIC on “The Science Behind Star Trek." In the interview, Professor Morr speaks about the scientific ideas behind the kinds of technologies--warp drive, wormholes, beaming technology, holodecks—that made the world of Star Trek possible.
