Chemistry Alumnus Wins 2013 Graduate College Outstanding Thesis Award
Alumnus from the Department of Chemsitry doctoral program Jingwei Li has won the 2013 Graduate College Outstanding Thesis Award in the Engineering, Mathematics, & Physical Sciences Division for his thesis "Tandem Metathesis-Based Natural Product Synthesis and Synthesis of Cyclopropenes and Their Rearrangements." Dr. Li is currently doing a postdoc with Professor Kishi at Harvard University. Dr. Li worked under the guidance of Associate Professor Daesung Lee while at UIC.
