Chancellor’s Discovery Fund Awardees in LAS
Among the recepients of the 2012 Chancellors Discovery Fund for Multidisciplinary Research were LAS faculty Jung-Hyun Min, assistant professor of chemistry, and Anjum Ansair, professor of physics, for their project in collaboration with Benjamin Ramirez entitled, "Patrolling the Genome: How DNA Repair Proteins Probe and Caputre DNA Lesions."
The Chancellors Discovery Fund program was established to support new multidisciplinary collaborations led by emerging researchers at UIC - to foster academic inquiry, nurture the research career trajectories of promising early-stage investigators and help the recipients leverage extramural funding.
