Learning Across the Curriculum

Across our liberal arts and sciences curriculum, students are guided to discover and explore the field of study that best fits their academic strengths, personal interests, and professional goals both throughout their UIC journey and as they glean their future life-long aspirations.

Majors, minors, certificates, and pre-professional programs in health and law provide students with fundamental courses and cutting-edge inclusive approaches that prepare them for their professional futures.

Our interdisciplinary programs—Black Studies, Latin American and Latino Studies, Global Asian Studies, Gender and Women Studies, and Religious Studies—present an intellectually fertile platform where the intersection of history, economics, health, politics, religion, culture, gender, and structural inequities are probed and researched.
