UIC Faculty Speak to the Intersection of Social Media and Politics
Some Mexican media outlets aired interviews with Zizi Papacharissi, UIC professor and head of communication, and Andrew Rojecki, UIC associate professor of communication, who discussed matters related to social media, politics, and the Trump era. Televisa News’ Karla Iberia interviewed Papacharissi, while Rojecki joined Televisa’s FOROtv and Channel 22 (35:35 mark), one of Mexico's main public television stations. Both UIC researchers had recent keynote roles at The Siege Upon Civilization international summit held in Mexico City and Guadalajara.
