Tricky Situation For Democrats Unity Party
Dick Simpson, professor and head of political science, was interviewed by Watchdog on the confusing ballot voters face in November for the election of a House Representative. Incumbent Rep. Derrick Smith, a democrat, is being challenged by Lance Tyson, also a democrat; Tyson has the full support of the Democratic party, but will be running under the 'Unity party.' Simpson commented that the democrats have much work ahead of them to make sure voters in the district are aware that Tyson is the true democratic candidate.
