Talk Honors Retiring Professor

The Associated Press and UIC News reported in advance of today's campus talk, "The Eichmann Trial: Looking Back After 50 Years", featuring Holocaust historian Deborah Lipstadt. The talk was held in honor of the retirement of Matthew Lippman, an international justice expert and professor in the Department of Criminology, Law and Justice. Lipstadt will discuess the post-war trial of Adolf Eichmann, a Nazi war criminal who, through his facilitation of the deportation of millions of Jews to concentration camps, brought global attention to the Holocaust. When applying for a faculty position at UIC, Lippman gave a talk on the same man, bringing the subject full circle for his retirement.
