Sociology Professor Maria Krysan as Featured Expert for CBS 2 Chicago Report on Chicago Segregation  

Maria Krysan, UIC professor and head of sociology, is a featured expert in a CBS2 Chicago report on segregation in Chicago. Krysan, who is also with the Institute of Government and Public Affairs, notes that now-outlawed lending practices are one of the sources of “engineered” segregation and that disinvestment in the impacted communities has protracted the segregation for generations.
