Sociology Department Hosts Chicago Ethnography Conference

The Department of Sociology at the University of Illinois at Chicago hosted the 14th Annual Chicago Ethnography Conference. The effort was led by graduate student co-chairs, Melissa Abad and Emily Ruehs, and faculty advisor Claire Decouteau. Additional support was provided by Will Mingus, Jessica Cook, Danielle Giffort and Shawn Perkins. The conference was highly successful with nearly 100 participants and 13 panels. The two keynote speakers were Hector Carillo from Northwestern University and Alford Young, Jr. from the University of Michigan.
