Psychology AP Liza Suarez Discusses Anxiety Among Teenagers with the Chicago Sun-Times
The Chicago Sun-Times quotes UIC assistant professor of clinical psychology Liza Suarez in an article on the complicated and growing issue of anxiety among teenagers. "It's about facing your fears, helping people with anxiety see things in a different way and enabling them to understand the costs and benefits of change," said Suarez, who also directs the Pediatric Stress and Anxiety Disorders Clinic at UIC. The article also features UI Health patient Elleis Miranda, who describes her experience with anxiety and the care she received at UI Health that helped her cope.
