Professor of Asian American Studies Honored With Mid-Career Award
Professor Kevin Kumashiro in the Asian American Studies Program is the recipient of the Division K Mid-Career Award by the American Educational Research Association. The honor recognizes an outstanding researcher in the second phase of his or her career with no fewer than six years and no more than fifteen years of experience beyond receiving a doctoral degree.
Professor Kumashiro was selected for his extensive research on topics in teaching and teacher education at such an early point in his career. Some of his accomplishments include publishing 10 books, 22 journal articles, 17 book chapters and more than 26 lectures, keynotes and presentations.
