McCloskey on Bourgeois Dignity
Deirdre McCloskey, UIC distinguished professor of economics, history, english and communication, and her newly-published boodk, Bourgeois Dignity, were referenced in a Bloomberg News article discussing the ongoing political repurcussions of President Obama's bashing of business owners. McCloskey's argument in her book is that it is largely in thanks to the development of a business-minded attitude that brought society to its high standard of living today.
