Lecture Given By Barbara Ransby Profiled In WFU News Article

An event at which Barbara Ransby, professor in the Black Studies, History, and Gender and Women’s Studies departments, and director of the UIC Social Justice Initiative, recently lectured was profiled in a WFU News article entitled “Media Advisory: Historian and Activist Barbara Ransby to Speak at Wake Forest.”

Ransby delivered the 2016 “Anna Julia Cooper lecture” at Wake Forest University on Tuesday, February 23. Professor Ransby’s lecture discussed the terrain of the black freedom movement, from Black Power to Black Lives Matter.
