Lause Investigates Civil War Events
Civil War scholar and LAS alumnus Mark Lause recently published a novel detailing the brutal six-week Conferderate military campaign that was the South’s last efforts to change the tide of the Civil War. The book is entitled Price’s Lost Campaign: The 1864 Invasion of Missouri (University of Missouri, 2011). The book was published as a part of the Shades of Blue and Grey series. Professor Lause earned his PhD at UIC in 1985 and is currently a professor of history at the University of Cincinnati. The novel's publication was highlighted the summer issue of UIC Alumni Magazine.
