Laura De Los Santos Learns the Language of Mexican Healers
Laura De Los Santos, a graduate student in the UIC Department of Latin American and Latino Studies, received a Foreign Language and Areas Studies Fellowship from the Institute for the Study of the Americas at the University of North Carolina. She will go the the Yucatan for a six-week language institute that will aid her research in Mexican healing practices.
