LAS Student Study Explores Moral Convictions and Politics

Allison Mueller, a student in the PhD program in the Department of Psychology, was featured in an interview with MedicalResearch.com. In the interview, Mueller described her study on people's moral conviction for a political issue. "We found that people’s perceptions of the speaker’s transgressive advocacy were uniquely shaped by their own moral conviction for the cause," Mueller said. "We are now interested in exploring the role of strong moral conviction in the broader context of the fake news cycle."
