LAS Religious Studies Program Launches New Homepage
The Religious Studies Program at UIC has launched a new homepage as part of their recent inclusion in the School of Literatures, Cultural Studies and Linguistics in LAS. Their homepage will be the central hub for their program, offering information on courses, including an upcoming Minor in Religious Studies starting in the fall 2014 semester.
The mission of religious studies at UIC "is to educate undergraduates in the nature, history, and function of the many different religions around the globe, individually and comparatively, as well as to introduce students to the theological and philosophical bases for religion itself. What is the nature of god(s)? Why do people believe? Why are there so many faiths out there? How are they different? How are they the same?"
