LAS Alumni Wins 2014 Golden Apple Award
LAS Alumni Melissa Talaber Matwyshyn (biological sciences and chemistry ‘04) has received a 2014 Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching. As was reported recently, Ms. Talaber Matwyshyn was one of 32 finalists for the award, chosen from over 620 nominations. Local television network ABC-7 anchor Theresa Guiterrez presented the award to Ms. Talaber Matwyshyn Thursday morning at her school, St. Nicholas Cathedral School in Chicago’s Ukrainian Village.
