John D’Emilio Featured on ‘Democracy Now!’ and in Washington Post
John D'Emilio, UIC professor of gender and women's studies and history, was a featured expert during a "Democracy Now!" segment on activist Bayard Rustin, organizer of the 1963 March on Washington. D'Emilio is the author of Lost Prophet: The Life and Times of Bayard Rustin (University Of Chicago Press, 2004). Material from his Rustin biography was also referenced in a Washington Post blog.
