Jennifer Brier, UIC professor and director of gender and women’s studies and professor of history, is co-author of an Xtra magazine article about the significance of images presented in “Up Against the Wall,” a forthcoming exhibition of works from a collection of more than 8,000 posters and related ephemera held at the University of Rochester.
