Computer Science AP Joseph Michaelis receives NSF grant for teacher/student support robots
Assistant Professor of Computer Science and UIC's Learning Sciences Research Institute Joseph Michaelis received a grant from the National Science Foundation for his project, “Collaborative Research: HCC: Small: PATHWiSE - Supporting Teacher Authoring of Robot-Assisted Homework.” He and his team will address the challenge of improving at-home social interaction between teachers and students with the assistance of social robots.
