Colorectal cancer treated with cholesterol inhibitor in UIC study
Introduction
UIC researchers, led by Chemistry Professor Wonhwa Cho, found a way to block tumor growth in mice using a cholesterol inhibitor — with promising results. The team is now preparing the molecule for clinical use and developing an oral version of the drug.
