The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences (LAS) welcomes interest from students currently enrolled at UIC who wish to transfer into LAS.

Minimum Requirements for Admission
- 2.0 UIC term GPA*
- 2.0 cumulative GPA*
- One semester of UIC completed coursework
- Adequate progress towards completion of degree
*Some majors require a different GPA for admission into the major. To review program-specific requirements, consult the LAS Departments sections on the left-hand side of the UIC Catalog.

- Run a hypothetical degree audit for your major of interest to review the degree requirements and see how your completed/in-progress courses apply.

- View the updated New Student Academic Guide and the LAS Policies and Procedures.
- Attend an optional online LAS ICT Information Session to meet with an LAS advisor.

Application Timeline (Summer 2023 Admission):
- Application Deadline for Summer 2023 Admission: Friday, May 5
- All applications submitted January 23 – May 5 will be reviewed for Summer 2023 Admission
Note: Summer enrollment NOT required for summer admissions - All applications will be reviewed after final grades post for the Spring term
- Applicants will be notified of decision via their UIC email no later than May 17
- Admission will be effective for Summer 2023; tuition and fees will be updated to reflect LAS differential if accepted

- Application Deadline for Fall 2023 Admission: Friday, August 4
- All applications submitted May 8 – August 4 will be reviewed for Fall 2023 Admission
- All applications will be reviewed after final grades post for the Summer term

- Admission will be effective for Fall 2023; tuition and fees will be updated to reflect LAS differential if accepted

Advising Sessions (Optional)
LAS ICT will offer Online Information Sessions in the Summer term for non-LAS students interested in transferring to LAS. Information Sessions will consist of a group session followed by one-on-one advising. Attending an Information Session is the only way to meet with an LAS academic advisor.

- Wednesday, June 14, 11:00am – 12:00pm
- Thursday, July 6, 2:00pm – 3:00pm
- Thursday, July 27, 1:00pm – 2:00pm
