The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences (LAS) welcomes interest from students currently enrolled at UIC who wish to transfer into LAS.

- 2.0 UIC term GPA*
- 2.0 cumulative GPA*
- One semester of UIC completed coursework
- Adequate progress towards completion of degree
*Some majors require a different GPA for admission into the major. To review program-specific requirements, consult the LAS Departments sections on the left-hand side of the UIC Catalog.

- Run a hypothetical degree audit for your major of interest to review the degree requirements and see how your completed/in-progress courses apply.

- Attend an optional online LAS ICT Information Session to meet with an LAS advisor.
Timeline
Application Timeline for Summer 2026 Admission
- Application Deadline for Summer 2026 Admission is Friday, May 8th, 2026
- All applications submitted through Friday, Friday May 8th, 2026 will be reviewed for Summer 2026 admission
- Application review will begin after final grades post for the Spring 2026 semester
- All applications will be notified of their application decision via their UIC email no later than Monday May 18th, 2026
- If admitted, admission will be effective for Summer 2026; tuition and fees will be updated to reflect LAS differential if accepted
- Although admitted for Summer 2026 admission, students are not required to enroll in Summer 2026 coursework at UIC
Information Sessions
Advising Sessions (Optional)
LAS ICT offers online information sessions each semester. While attending an information session is not required for admission, it will provide students with an opportunity to meet with an LAS Advisor before applying for an Intercollege Transfer into the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
LAS will begin hosting Information Sessions starting week 7 of the spring 2026 semester. Please visit iAdvise between week 7 and week 15 to register for an ICT Information session: go.uic.edu/ictservice
