Part Gardener. Part Engineer. All smiles.

Biology is the study of life and all the wondrous, intriguing, and baffling things that give our planet its unique character.

Our biological science students learn about cell structure and function, how cells work together to build organs and organisms, how diseases spread and innovative ways to cure them, and how living things adapt to survive. Biology is a broad natural science that encompasses other niche areas such as genetics, biochemistry, and microbiology. Those who aspire to work in medicine go on to complete a master’s or doctorate degree, while still other biology graduates find enjoyable work in environmental science, biotechnology, laboratory research, medical technology, food production and nutrition, and education.
