UIC Economics Grad Makes Forbes Magazine 30 Under 30 List
Michael Pesko, PhD graduate in Economics (PhD '12), is among Forbes Magazine’s 2014 30 Under 30 report for his work in the science and healthcare field. Pesko’s research focused on the behaviors of cigarette smokers.
Forbes Magazine notes of Pesko’s work, "three studies documented the many ways smokers avoid higher cigarette prices, foiling attempts to cut their nicotine usage. Another paper showed that one million former smokers took up the habit again due to 9/11 – and then never stopped."
