Race: Out Loud
The culminating event of Chicago Public Radio/WBEZ-FM's "Race: Out Loud"
series featured panelists Maria de los Angeles Torres, professor and director of Latin American and Latino studies, and Maria Krysan, UIC professor of sociology and faculty member in the Institute of Government and Public Affairs.
Inspired by Studs Terkel's book, "Race: How Blacks and Whites Think and Feel About the American Obsession," the September 20 event will explore the state of race in the Chicago area.
