Psychology Professor Robin Mermelstein Elected to Society for Research on Nicotine and Tobacco
Robin Mermelstein, professor of psychology and director of the UIC Institute for Health Research and Policy, has been named president-elect of the Society for Research on Nicotine and Tobacco (SRNT) for 2014-2015. SRNT is the leading international association focusing on nicotine and tobacco research. Mermelstein also serves on the Institute of Medicine's committee studying Health Implications of Raising the Minimum Age for Purchasing Tobacco Products and on national research review committees of the National Institutes of Health.
