Professor Invited to Lecture at the International Congress of Mathematicians
Alex Furman, professor in the Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science, has been invited to give a lecture at the International Congress of Mathematicians in 2014. He will give a joint lecture for Section 7, Lie Theory and Generalizations, and Section 9, Dynamical Systems and Ordinary Differential Equations. The congress, held every four years, will take place in Seoul, South Korea. An invitation to speak is one of the highest honors for mathematicians.
