OVCSA Awards Scholarships to Seven LAS Undergraduates
Seven outstanding LAS students have been awarded scholarships for the 2013-2014 academic year through the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (OVCSA).
Riti Chokshi and Mayra Sotomayor received the Supporting Excellence Endowment (SEE) Scholarship, an award honoring students who demonstrate strong leadership. They were granted $5,000 for one academic year.
Kerry Gawne, Ashley Akkal, Arun Jayaraman, Dorota Gut and Caitlin McDonald were awarded the TCF Bank Supporting Excellence Enterprise Scholarship; a grant supports UIC undergraduates with junior or senior standing who demonstrate a devotion to academic excellence by providing $5,000 for each recipient.
