Latina Girls and Sexual Identity
Lorena Garcia, an assistant professor of sociology, recently published a new study, Protect Yourself, Respect Yourself: Latina Girls and Sexual Identity. This publication "examines how Latina girls negotiate their emerging sexual identities and attempt to create positive sexual experiences for themselves." Traditionally a marginalized racial group, the study attempts to understand and explain the sexual lives of Latina girls.
