LAS Student Christopher Kooy Receives Rangel International Affairs Graduate Fellowship

LAS undergraduate Christopher Kooy has been offered and has accepted a Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Graduate Fellowship. Christopher is an Honors College student and recipient of the President's Award Program Honors scholarship. He is double majoring in Political Science and Spanish in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The Rangel Graduate Fellowship aims to attract and prepare outstanding young people for careers in the foreign service and provides up to $37,500 annually to cover costs associated with the completion of a two-year master's degree.

The Rangel International Affairs Program chose 30 Graduate Fellows for the 2018 cohort and all 30 accepted. The current group includes individuals from 18 states from 24 different undergraduate institutions, including Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Hispanic Serving Institutions, Ivy league schools, large state universities, and smaller private schools.
