LAS Alumni Association Awards Outstanding Students
The LAS Alumni Association, in partnership with Dean Astrida Orle Tantillo, awarded monetary prizes to four outstanding students. Honored at the 17th Annual LAS Recognition Dinner on November 1, 2012 were: Jeff Coltman, undergraduate student in psychology; Lindsay Karson, undergraduate student in neuroscience; Sandra Troxell-Smith, graduate student in biological sciences; and Marta Witek, graduate student in chemistry. Misty Richmond (2003 biological sciences), chair of the LASAA scholarship committee, introduced each student and Dean Tantillo presented the awards. Family, friends, faculty and members of the LASAA Board of Directors joined in the celebration.
